Mr Sunak’s official spokesman said on Friday that the Prime Minister was “disappointed” by the move. He said: “The Prime Minister believes it would be fitting for President Zelensky to address the event and we’re disappointed by the decision from the European Broadcasting Union. Mr Johnson, the former prime minister, also expressed his frustrations over the decision, writing on Twitter: “It would have been right to hear from President Zelensky at tonight’s Eurovision.Downing Street suggested there are no plans to intervene and ask broadcasters to change their mind.
