Colegio de San Juan de Letran blanked Mapua University in their National Collegiate Athletic Association Season 97 men's basketball best-of-three finals, 2-0, after a 75-65 victory in Game Two at the Filoil Flying V Center on Sunday.This is the second straight title for the Knights, their first back-to-back championships in 22 years. Letran also became the first team to go undefeated at 12-0 in the entire season since San Beda swept the league at 16-0 in 2010.
Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player Rhenz Abando recovered from a left ankle injury he suffered in Game One last week and led Letran with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks.Finals MVP winner Jeo Ambohot also came through with 13 points and nine boards for Letran. Louie Sanggalang added 11 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks for the champion team.
