Because of the recent spike of the homeless in the heart of downtown, along Akard Street from AT&T up to Ross Avenue, we are seriously considering moving out. The labor movement is about the fight for freedom and equality through collective action. The basis of the National Labor Relations Act of 1935, which has been tread upon here, is founded on the principles of the First and 14th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution. Specifically, the rights to speech, petition and assembly, as well as equal protection and due process.These amendments are also the core principles behind the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as well as the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
