The Scotland cap made his long-awaited return from a serious knee problem last weekend
The Scotland star has returned from a serious knee injury suffered back in April that ruled him out of Euro 2024, coming off the bench to make his Champions League debut in Tuesday's 1-0 home defeat to Monaco after appearing for the last 10 minutes against Leece in Serie A three days earlier.
They add that although the Scotland international is yet to put pen to paper, both parties are keen to reach an agreement, which could be ironed out during the forthcoming international break. Ferguson has registered 13 goals and five assists in 68 matches since his £3million arrival from Aberdeen in the summer of 2022, and is the highest scoring Scot in the history of Serie A. The Dons have a 15 per cent sell on clause on the player's next transfer.
