Lewis Hamilton has paid tribute to long-time rival Daniel Ricciardo after the Australian's dropping by RB appeared to end his Formula 1 career. Red Bull's junior squad confirmed on Thursday that Ricciardo will be replaced by Liam Lawson for the remaining six rounds of the 2024 season and has been released from the team.
' Hamilton's team-mate George Russell also sent Ricciardo a message on social media, which referenced the Australian's enjoyment at switching the order of the Mercedes driver's names around. 'F1 won't be the same without you, mate,' Russell wrote. 'All the best on the next adventure, Ricciardo Daniel.
