The ECHO spoke with the die-hard Liverpool FC and Darwin Nunez fan this week
Most people will know Pete Boc from his 'Darwin, Darwin Nunez' chant that went viral last year, and since then the die-hard Liverpool FC fan has been a constant presence on social media for his chants and videos related to the club, but not many know that Pete, who grew up near Belvidere Field in Wallasey, began life as a fan of Premier League rivals Manchester United.
"I fell in love with players like Jamie Redknapp and John Barnes. The first game I ever went to at Anfield it was Steven Gerrard's full debut and he scored. But that's always a nice thing to be able to say I was there for. "Then, when lockdown three came it didn't happen. That's where the whole TikTok idea came from and soon I got addicted because I got a little bit of success because I went viral."
"It kept going and going. With all the negativity that came my way for the video, I went into my shell. I took all my things down and didn't post for a while. I didn't know where I even stood with my own club's fan base.
