A recent KFF report focused on LGBTQ adults’ experiences with discrimination in their daily lives and in health care settings, experiences with severe mental health crises, homelessness and mental health care. “This survey’s findings enhance our understanding of the ongoing challenges LGBT adults in the U.S. face, including stigma and discrimination and poorer mental health outcomes compared to non-LGBTQ peers,” the KFF report said. In response, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost asked the Ohio Supreme Court to review the lower court’s temporary block on the state’s law, arguing that the block is too broad. But on May 22,celebrated annually in June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan, during which thousands of LGTBQ people demonstrated against centuries of discrimination.
