As Wolves once again fell to defeat, skipper Mario Lemina was slumped in the centre circle in tears.
The captain, crestfallen at five defeats in six Premier League games, could not hide his frustration as he was consoled by players of both teams.
Wolves had long spells of pressure in the first half, won the midfield battle and defended well when Liverpool had their moments. Jorgen Strand Larsen made an error in tracking Diogo Jota for the opening goal, but made up for it by refusing to give up on a loose ball in the box and creating that equaliser.
