Police in Argentina are said to have carried out a second round of raids on the homes of two hotel workers and a friend of Liam Payne, as they investigate the circumstances surrounding the One Direction singer's death
Argentinian police investigating the tragic death of Liam Payne have reportedly carried out a second round of raids on the homes of two hotel workers and a 'friend' of the singer. TMZ reports that law enforcement sources in Buenos Aires conducted the raids on Tuesday night, also searching the hotel lockers of the workers and reviewing security footage from the CasaSur Palermo hotel.
However, this 'friend' was not present during the raid. This follows an initial raid last month where electronic and paper records, as well as videos of the hotel's underground area, were seized. The respected news outlet Infobae reported that substances found in the singer's body during the post-mortem had "determined the presence of the class-A drug.", reports the Mirror.
Geoff mingled with supporters of the One Direction star outside the Buenos Aires hotel, holding a red rose before laying it at the tribute site. In poignant scenes, the dad-of-three was spotted embracing two admirers who presented him with a candle, which he carefully placed at the base of a tree encircled by flowers.
