Former One Direction star Liam Payne has tragically died aged 31 after reports the hitmaker fell from the third floor of a hotel in the Palermo area of Buenos Aires
The former One Direction star was holidaying in Buenos Aires with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy when he fell from the third floor of a hotel. Liam, who was known for being one fifth of the mega-band found fame in 2011 after appearing on The X Factor , when judge Simon Cowell placed him in a band with Louis Tomlinson , Harry Styles , Zayn Malik and Niall Horan .
A body was found in an internal patio of the hotel. The police were called to the hotel by the hotel manager. It's believed that Liam fell from around 13 or 14 metres and suffered "very serious injuries incompatible with life." In recent weeks, Liam has been documenting his travels in Argentina and attended the concert of his former bandmate, Niall. Liam was just 16 when he was catapulted to stardom and became a member of the biggest boyband in the world.Weeks before his death, the pop star took to Instagram to share a photo alongside his former bandmates. In what turned out to be his final post, the singer paid a tribute to American documentary filmmaker, writer and TV producer Morgan Spurlock.
