Five people have been charged in connection with the death of Liam Payne, the former One Direction singer who died after falling from a hotel in Buenos Aires. The charges include negligent homicide and drug supply.
The heartbroken family of Liam Payne hope they could now see 'justice' after almost three months of agony following his death. The 31-year-old former One Direction star died after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires in October. Fans grieved around the world for the Wolverhampton-born singer, who died following 'multiple' injuries which caused 'internal and external' bleeding, his post-mortem found. Five people have since been charged in connection with Liam's death.
They include his friend Roger Nores, who judge Laura Bruniard accused of 'abandoning to his fate'. It's claimed Nores walked away from Liam while he was vulnerable in his hotel room, before tragedy struck. Four others have also been charged - with two hotel staff accused of supplying the singer cocaine, while a waiter and manager at the CasaSur hotel in Buenos Aires have also been accused of neglecting the star. The breakthrough has left Liam's family with the possibility of 'justice', a friend has claimed. They told The Sun: 'It’s been a very difficult Christmas for them but they now just want justice for their son. Finally, after a horrific couple of months, there is a feeling like this could be possible.” In a statement yesterday (December 30), Judge Bruniard said Liam's death was 'foreseeable'. Regarding the hotel staff, she said: 'They didn’t act maliciously with regards to the singer’s death, but they were reckless in facilitating his transfer to his room by taking him there. 'They created a legally unacceptable risk and Liam Payne’s death is the result.' Meanwhile, it's claimed that CCTV shows 35-year-old Nores walking away from the scene before the tragedy, after the singer had been 'dragged' to his room. Nores, hotel receptionist Esteban Grassi and head of security Gilda Martin were charged with negligent homicide. Hotel worker Ezequiel Pereyra and waiter Braian Paiz have been charged with supplying drugs in connection with Liam's death
