Netflix talent show 'Building The Band' featuring Liam Payne, Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Rowland may be released in 2025.
The entertainment world was left in shock after the sudden death of One Direction's Liam Payne , who tragically fell from a third-floor balcony at an Argentinian hotel in October. Before his untimely passing at just 31, Liam had been filming for a Netflix talent show titled Building The Band , where he joined forces with music legends Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Rowland to discover fresh singing talent.
While the future of the show hung in the balance following his death in Buenos Aires, there's now hope that fans might still get to witness his final on-screen appearance. Reports suggest that the producers are seeking the consent of Liam's family to broadcast the series, aiming for a 2025 release on the streaming platform, but only with the family's blessing. Filmed in Manchester during the summer, the show features Liam alongside Nicole, aged 46, and Kelly, aged 43, as they audition 50 candidates to find 'the next great music group'. The Strip That Down singer had been involved in the show to help guide the judges in finding the talent - with Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean also hosting. A source spilled to The Sun: 'Netflix and the production company will meet Liam's family to make sure they are happy with Building the Band airing in 2025.' 'Nothing will be finalised until they have given their blessing. Those who worked on it say it captures Liam in a beautiful light and highlights his passion for helping others. It is the last thing he worked on and he comes across so well.', reports the Mirror. OK! has reached out to reps for Liam and Netflix for a response. Netflix hyped up the show earlier this year, teasing: 'What will happen when the bands finally meet, and looks, choreography, and style come into play? With incredible performances, compelling drama, and one big goal - to find the next great music band - the stage is set for an unforgettable experience'
