Liam Smith has been forced to withdraw from his bout with Josh Kelly at Wembley this weekend
Liam Smith has been officially removed from the Anthony Joshua against Daniel Dubois undercard after he pulled out of his fight with Josh Kelly. The ECHO reported on Saturday that Smith had pulled out of his bout against the 30-year-old at Wembley due to a virus. Smith was set to be returning to the ring for the first time since his stoppage defeat to Chris Eubank Jr last September , while Kelly has won his last five fights. However, his wait to return to the ring will now go on.
” In the main event of Saturday’s show at the home of English football, Joshua attempts to become a three-time world champion when he challenges Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title. 'I'm just willing to fight anyone,” Joshua said. “This is my 13th world title fight. So that must mean whoever's at that level or whoever's going to come to that level, I'm going to have to compete with. We're all here to do a job. We're all here as warriors to fight each other.
