The leader of the Scottish Lib Dems has predicted a “massive” drop in support for the SNP at Holyrood if the Tories lose next month.
He said the Lib Dems continue to “loathe” Brexit but have not made rejoining the EU an election issue as the decision will not be overturned in the next five years. With polls showing the next Holyrood election to be a showdown between SNP leader John Swinney and Scots Labour leader Anas Sarwar, Cole-Hamilton said he would prefer Sarwar:
This sees Labour govern as a minority administration with support from the Lib Dems and Tories, effectively shutting out the SNP.
