The Liberal Democrats will overtake the SNP at the general election , the party's Scottish leader has said.
The SNP overtook the Lib Dems as the third biggest party in the House of Commons in 2015 when it won 56 seats. This was an increase in 50 from the 2010 general election. "Absolutely, we're going to turn a lot of the Scottish map Lib Dem gold at the next general election." The MSP for Edinburgh Western also said the Scottish Lib Dems would work with new SNP First Minister John Swinney's minority government but has "no truck with any further constitutional division."
