Sky News host Andrew Bolt claims Senator Lidia Thorpe did everyone a favour by quitting the Greens and making it clear Labor’s Voice to Parliament is a “con”.

“Labor is saying, ‘don’t worry, vote for this Voice in the referendum later this year because it’s really harmless, it is going to have no power, it is just there to advise’,” Mr Bolt said.

“I say, a con because if you tell Aborigines they are so different and so oppressed that they, unlike any other race, must have their own advisory parliament, how can you then tell them, ‘that said, your new power is not going to have any real power’.”
