Customers are being advised to check their cupboards, fridges and freezers after several popular food and drink items were recalled from various supermarkets.
The packs produced in error have only been sold in Co-op stores and no other Goodfella's products are affected. The FSA said: "If you have bought any of the above products do not consume them. Instead, return them to the nearest Lidl store for a full refund. For further information, please contact Lidl Customer Care on [email protected] or 02039665566."
"However adverse health effects cannot be ruled out for consumers sensitive to Chlorate, in particular young children and consumers with pre-existing medical conditions such as thyroid deficiency, blood conditions, especially anaemia, or those with kidney diseases. Long term consumption of chlorate can lead to the inhibition of iodine uptake, this could potentially cause adverse health effects such as goitre.
