Lidl urgently recalls hazelnut and chocolate spread over allergy fears
The supermarket's recalling the spread because the labelling doesn't make it clear it contains nuts and milkLIDL is recalling a hazelnut and chocolate spread over fears it could trigger potentially deadly allergic reactions.
Symptoms of a nut allergy include stomach cramps, nausea and vomiting, itchy mouths and a swollen throat. As a general rule, if a recall involves a branded product, the manufacturer would usually have lead responsibility for the recall action.If you are concerned about the safety of a product you own, always check the manufacturer’s website to see if a safety notice has been issued.
