These are their stories.They were found in nearly every neighborhood in Dallas , in cars, on sidewalks, at celebrations, inside their homes. The vast majority died from gun violence. Some were targeted, others were caught in crossfire.
A 16-year-old boy died in his grandfather's arms after he was shot on their front doorstep. Two sisters in their early 20s were slain in a fit of rage the gunman later called a mistake. A 78-year-old man was killed in a robbery before he got the chance to meet his grandson.is committed to writing about every person killed in a homicide in the city this year, including those deemed justifiable by police.
