With dozens of shops and heavy traffic, it's fair to say life on Radford Road can be pretty busy for those who live and work there. With a range of takeaways and international shops, it is a popular location for many. We spoke to to some of those who call it home about life in the vibrant neighbourhood which is rarely quiet.
But the 54 year old has also addressed the problems that come with running a store on a busy road. He added: "The traffic is very busy in the afternoon. It gets very busy."But then it dies down at night. Most shops shut between 7 and 9pm. We have got many cameras inside the store too for security. Surjit Singh lives near Radford Road. The 78 year old said he has been a resident in the area since 1938."It is so busy throughout the day. You cannot leave the house because it is too busy. The streets sometimes get blocked because of them. There are so many shops and they have all got trucks."
The 43 year old added: "Even though it has never happened to us, we have heard about thefts at other shops in the area. It is a very busy road, so it is easier for people to steal money or goods.
