For Linda, such accidents are now commonplace as continues to live with the incurable disease
The 65-year-old from Blackpool , who is living with incurable cancer, has sadly suffered a number of falls in recent months, with the latest knocking out some of the her teeth. In an exclusive chat with OK!, the singer and TV personality has shared her heartbreaking reality of living with the disease and how she remains in good spirits.
Linda, who now lives with her sister Denise and brother-in-law Tom, is facing a tough journey with secondary breast cancer that has spread to various parts of her body. The disease that sadly claimed her sister Bernie in 2013 and Linda experiences frequent medical challenges. "It was just before Halloween and I’d had another fall. Anyway, these children came to Denise’s door, trick or treating, and I’m there, bald as anything, no teeth – and these poor little girls ran away screaming.The warmth and positivity in Linda’s voice is infectious. Here is a lady who clearly loves life and sees the joy in it, even when children run screaming from her.
"It’s easy to sit back and get depressed about it, but I’m still going. My hope for this year? To not die, obviously. I just want to be here with my family. I want us all to be here this time next year, that’s the goal."
