Singer Linda Nolan received a heartfelt farewell as she was laid to rest in a pink sparkly coffin, surrounded by loved ones. The hearse carrying the coffin arrived at St Paul's Church in Blackpool , greeted by onlookers who paid their respects with applause. Linda's sisters — Anne, Maureen, Coleen, and Denise — stood together in grief as they walked towards the church alongside other family members. Coleen Nolan appeared visibly emotional, pausing to wipe away a tear.
While the family wore black, some incorporated pink ribbons into their attire or carried pink handbags, a tribute to Linda's vibrant spirit. They lined the path as the coffin, adorned with a floral arrangement, was carried into the church, accompanied by Faith Hill's song 'There You'll Be.'During a moving eulogy, Linda's sister Denise Nolan-Anderson shared, 'She really loved going to premieres and opening nights, having her beautiful hair and makeup done, and always was the life and soul of any big occasion,' reports the Irish Mirror. 'She would have loved all the fuss today.' Notable figures in attendance included EastEnders actor Shane Richie, formerly married to Coleen Nolan, comedian Tommy Cannon, singer Lisa Maffia, and Paul Elliott, better known as Paul Chuckle. Elliott offered warm remembrances of Linda, describing her as a radiant presence. He stated, 'She was just a fun, bubbly person. The world's a darker place without her.' He fondly recalled working with Linda on pantomime stages and charitable events, mentioning their last encounter, a lunch in 2024.Other mourners included Charlotte Dawson, daughter of comedian Les Dawson, Lee Brennan from the boyband 911, and Coronation Street actress Jodie Prenger. A framed photograph of Linda was displayed outside the church, where attendees could sign a condolence book. As a member of the pop group The Nolans, Linda achieved success alongside her sisters Coleen, Bernie, Maureen, Anne, and Denise, with hits like 'Gotta Pull Myself Together' and 'I'm In The Mood For Dancing' in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Linda, born in Dublin, made Blackpool her home and was married to her late husband Brian Hudson for over two decades in the same church where her funeral was held. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, undergoing a mastectomy, Linda became a dedicated campaigner and fundraiser for cancer awareness. While she received the all-clear in 2011, she faced a recurrence in 2017, with the cancer spreading to her liver in 2020 and her brain in 2023. Through her efforts, Linda helped raise over £20 million for charities such as Breast Cancer Now, the Irish Cancer Society, and Samaritans. The family is continuing her legacy by raising funds for Trinity Hospice, a cause close to Linda's heart. They've requested that donations and condolences be directed to a memorial page established in her honor
