It is 21 years since the Good Friday Agreement signalled an end to the Troubles in Northern Ireland, which had lasted for 30 years.
The murder of journalist Lyra McKee in Derry last week during rioting by dissident republicans with links to a group calling itself the New IRA proved that the hard-won peace is still fragile. Paramilitary groups are still active on both sides of the sectarian divide.
