Christina Chong reveals she's been asked back for the next instalment of the hit police drama
One of its stars, Christina Chong, says the cast have been asked about their availability for later in the year. The actress who played DI Nicky Rogerson in series two and six of the BBC show, let slip at a Hollywood Saturn Awards last week.
Christina's character first appeared in Line of Duty series two back in 2014. Her character, who works in the Major Violent Crime unit, became a love interest for DS Steve Arnott and became an informant for him and AC-12. "I worked with Martin Compton on a horror film. It's one of my first jobs. I think back in the day it was called Red Mist or Freak Dog. The name changed. So when I see Martin, it is almost like a homecoming where it's like, wow, you were there when I first started out. And everyone is so lovely on that set. And even Jed, I remember last time I went back during the pandemic, Jed wasn't meant to be at set, but he came to set to say hi. And I was like, wow, that's so nice.
"I am currently working on an album. Jake Gosling is producing who works with Ed Sheeran. I'm actually in Nashville next week recording and just loving it. Star Trek brought me that, my singing for it. And so my dream is to end up at the O2 in the UK with a gig. There'll be an EP probably coming out with season three . I am co-writing everything."
