Linfield Football Club has been commended for raising over £50,000 for the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice over a 12-year partnership. The club recently visited the Hospice, delivering gifts to the children and expressing gratitude to the staff and carers.
The Northern Ireland Children's Hospice has praised Linfield Football Club for raising over £50,000 for the charity. The Blues have been long-term charity partners with the Hospice and recently paid a special visit to the O'Neill Road base and haven in Newtownabbey. Manager David Healy and first team players Kyle McClean, Joel Cooper, Chris McKee and Charlie Allen called down to the facility to deliver gifts as part of the Children's Hospice Wishlist.
Linfield have raised more than £50,000 over a 12-year period of charity partnership with the Children's Hospice,, through the club and various supporter-related activities. The money is being used to assist the NI Children's Hospice provide expert care for children from across our country. The Hospice said on social media: 'Many thanks to friends and our long-term partners Linfield Football Club who recently brightened the day of the children and their carers at Children's Hospice, following a recent gift of much-needed items from our Amazon Wishlist..' They added: 'The 12-year period of partnership has raised more than £50,000 in aid of our Little Stars, either directly by Linfield FC or via its supporters, including via bucket collections at matches.' Meanwhile, Linfield said: 'The Linfield manager and players were delighted to spend precious time with several children in the Hospice today and they were also quick to praise and thank the carers and staff for all their work in looking after the children who need their care and medical attention'
