Jesse Lingard has given an explosive interview on what happened during the end of his 22-year spell at Manchester United.
“Literally I was watching Sky Sports News with my brother, [West Ham manager] David Moyes was on the phone and I said, ‘Yeah I’m coming, I’m there, if you want me there, I’m there’,” he said.
“I said ‘well [another player’s] gone on loan, I’m not playing here so just let me go on loan and play football [at Newcastle].“He was like, ‘What do you want, days off?’ I said, ‘No I want to play football’.”
