Lisburn man Sean Murray will captain the Ireland hockey squad at this summer's Olympic Games. Murray is one of eight Ulster players called up for the Paris games.
The team clinched one of the coveted places at the Final Qualification event in Valencia earlier this year, when they defeated Korea 4-3 in a scintillating final match. International head coach and former Banbridge boss, Mark Tumilty, said those selected have earned their opportunity. “We’re delighted to announce the team today, those selected have earned this opportunity and it’s a moment for them and their families that they deserve," he said.
