But have you ever paused to consider the can you're sipping from? It appears many Brits haven't.
They're typically referred to as tabs or pull tabs, although this sparked some debate on Reddit. It seems they go by different names in various parts of the globe, with pull tabs being the most common term. One individual commented: "Pull tab ", prompting another to respond: "That's funny, since they're not actually pull tabs anymore. I think the modern ones are technically called stay-tabs. I suppose it's like how we still call it rolling up/down a car window."A third also observed: "We call it a 'Pop Tab' , but my whole life I thought it was because it popped when you opened it.
