The search for a missing Alexander City woman has come to an end.
A ‘person of interest’ is in custody according to the sheriffALEXANDER CITY, Ala. - The body of Quanisha Davis , 30, has been recovered, according to Tallapoosa County Sheriff Jimmy Abbott.
A “person of interest” is in custody, the sheriff added, though he has not released the person’s name.a 1 p.m. news conference is scheduled in Alexander City. The family of Quanisha Davis is desperate for answers in her disappearance and is appealing to the public for help.Searching for her initially proved unsuccessful. Then, Wednesday night, law enforcement confirmed in a statement that Davis’ white Ford SUV was found in a wooded area of the city’s North Loop Road. At the time, the release stated Davis was still considered missing and the investigation was ongoing.
The investigation is a joint effort by the Alexander City Police Department, Dadeville Police Department, Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Department and State Bureau of Investigation.
