The first two members of the cast have been announced ahead of filming beginning this summer
A live-action adaptation of popular Dreamworks animated film 'How to Train Your Dragon' is to begin filming in Northern Ireland this summer.
On Wednesday, the first cast members for the live-action movie were revealed to be Mason Thames set to star as Hiccup and Nico Parker as Astrid.The original animated film was released back in 2010, with a sequel following back in 2014 and final film, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, that was released in 2019.
How to Train Your Dragon will be produced by Marc Platt Productions and distributed by Universal Pictures, with original director Dean DeBlois set to return to write and direct the new adaptation.
