Hello and welcome to the ABC Sport coverage of what promises to be a cracking day three of the second Test between India and Australia, the latest in a series of fantastically entertaining days of Test cricket.with you again on the live blog, and I'm thrilled to be able to be here once again as this Test sets itself up very, very nicely.

Say it quietly, but Australia are edging themselves ahead in this match, and it's India - on a ground where they have not lost since 1987 - who have been playing catch up from the outset. Travis Head, promoted to opener after David Warner's concussion injury, was exceptional last night, racing to 39 from 40 balls as Australia went at over five runs per over in the 12 overs they faced from India last night.

That gives them a lead of 62 with nine second-innings wickets remaining, and in a promising position to push on.
