Police and paramedics have been called out to a Greater Manchester street following a stabbing. Officers were called out to Alexander Street in Tyldesley , Wigan borough, this morning .
Parents of local schoolchildren have reported that the nearby St George's Central CE Primary School, on Darlington Street, has been placed on lockdown following the incident. The school declined to comment when approached by the M.E.N.The cordon is a small one on Whewell Street which is off the busy main road."At 8:50am this morning we were called to reports that a man had been stabbed on Alexander Street, Tyldesley.
