Firefighters are battling a blaze in Preston tonight . A building has caught light in the Church Street area and crews have been dispatched to bring it under control.
The fire was first reported at 6.18pm, with people sharing images online of a huge fire, with black smoke billowing into the night sky. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 18:18 on 12 November 2024, four fire engines from Preston, Bamber Bridge and Blackpool, along with the aerial ladder platform were called to a derelict building fire on Church Street, Preston. Firefighters are using two jets to tackle the fire and remain in attendance."
