'Stationary traffic' has been reported
on Monday afternoon following an incident. Traffic data supplier Inrix is reporting that the M1 southbound between J22 for Coalville and Ashby and the Leicester Forest East Services is affected on Monday, October 7.
Inrix is reporting that "stationary traffic" is currently in place along the route. There are no further details on the reason behind the stopped traffic at this stage,All lanes are now open on the M1 southbound between J21A and J21 following a collision earlier today. National Highways said delays of an hour remained on approach.
Please allow extra time if travelling in the area as delays of 60 min remain and approx. 5 miles of congestion.A spokeswoman for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service has said that crews were called to a collision on the M1 southbound involving four vehicles at 1.38pm today. She said two appliances made the vehicles safe. Nobody was reported to be trapped in their vehicles, she added.Welcome to our coverage.
