Drivers are warned to expect delays
The M1 is partially blocked in the East Midlands on Thursday morning, July 20, leading to heavy traffic for motorists. Two lanes of the southbound road are shut between J21a and J21, near Leicester.. The severity of the crash is not yet known.
Police are en route to the location but Highways England warn delays are building on approach, with just under three miles of congestion already.Access to M69 still open southbound Leicester Area Traffic Control says the crash is M1 RTC just before the southbound exit slip road at J21.
