Metrolink trams aren't currently stopping at the stop - one of the city centre's busiest
fans are facing travel disruption this evening with one of the city centre's busiest tram stop having been closed. The Blues take on Sparta Prague in the Champions League, with kick-off at 8pm.
They added: "Man City fans are advised to please use Piccadilly Gardens tram stop or the City Link walking route to complete your journey to the Etihad. Journeys on foot from Piccadilly Station will take approximately 25 minutes. We're very sorry for any inconvenience caused." A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police has just told the M.E.N the stop was closed after a woman was assaulted. Police were called following the attack at 5:50pm.
