BREAKING: Road closed outside Greater Manchester college due to ongoing incident - live
A road is closed with heavy traffic building due to an ongoing police incident outside The Manchester College. Ashton Old Road in Openshaw is completely blocked off with emergency services at the scene this afternoon.
Bus services are being diverted due to the police incident, with the main road closed between Nuttall Street and Odell Street in both directions. Police are on the scene of the ongoing incident, which was first reported outside the Manchester College Openshaw Campus shortly after 1.30pm.Transport for Greater Manchester tweeted: "Road closed. Ashton Old Road is closed between Nuttall Street and Odell Street in both directions. This is due to a police incident. Please seek an alternative route."
