A weather warning is in place
The Met Office have issued two separate weather warnings for the region with a wind warning as gusts of up to 70 mph are expected around costal areas of Northern Ireland.A number of roads have already been affected with the PSNI asking motorists to avoid the area after a shed roof has been reported to have been blown onto the Ballyquinn Road.
"Everywhere is being reported but the impact is so severe this may take sometime and weather warnings are still in place.A PSNI spokesperson said: "Road users are advised that the Hillhall Road, Lisburn, has been closed at its junctions with the Pinehill Road and Ballylesson Road, in both directions, due to high water levels causing flooding. Diversions are in place. Please seek an alternative route for your journey.
There is a slight chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage
