More than a dozen large blasts lit up the skies over Beirut’s southern suburb Saturday night when huge plumes of smoke rising from a residential neighborhood that’s a stronghold of the militant group Hezbollah. It’s the latest in Israel’s expanded assault on Hezbollah, killing its leadership in strikes up and down Lebanon.
