"A NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft currently investigating Helene recently found that the maximum sustained winds have increased to 130 mph . The minimum central pressure has also decreased to 947 mb based on dropsonde data," NHC said in a surprise 6:20PM update.Central Florida – Orlando and the surrounding cities – began to feel the impacts of Hurricane Helene on Wednesday.
