Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha believes Liverpool winning the Premier League won't put them on a par with his old club
Former Manchester United and Everton striker Louis Saha has claimed Liverpool will not be as big a club as United even if they match their record of league titles. The Reds are currently five points clear at the top of the Premier League having beaten Aston Villa 2-0 at home on Saturday. Liverpool currently stand on 19 championship wins, one adrift of the record United set when claiming their 20th crown way back in the 2012/13 season.
But Saha is convinced the Old Trafford side will remain the bigger club regardless of any future success for Liverpool, who have won more trophies than any other English club. “Even if Liverpool equal Manchester United’s league titles, I don’t think they will be as big a club,' he said. 'Liverpool are huge, but looking at the fanbases around the world there is no match for United.
