Four friends who met in Liverpool and started a band out of boredom are winning new fans. Daniel Parker, Max Gibson, Ben Cassidy and Oisin McAvoy are members of Keyside. The fast emerging indie band, which formed in the summer of 2022, have taken their 80s-inspired sound to the Eurovision main stage and supported the likes of Jamie Webster and Shed Seven.

It was some chance meetings which brought the band together.
Daniel, 24, from West Derby, and Ben Cassidy, 24, from Walton, met for the first time at the party of a mutual friend, but both feel it was inevitable they would have crossed paths at some point. Speaking to the ECHO, Daniel, vocals and acoustic guitar, said: “I met him (Ben) at a party a while ago. And then we didn't see each other for years after. We knew each other as musicians
