Liverpool boss Matt Beard was left frustrated after Missy Bo Kearns' goal was disallowed in 1-0 WSL defeat to Everton
Liverpool boss Matt Beard said he is "sick to death" of contentious refereeing decisions in the Women's Super League after his side were denied what looked to be a legitimate goal in the Merseyside derby.
However, replays showed the Liverpool midfielder looked to have been played onside by the foot of Heather Payne. "We had a perfectly good goal disallowed which is frustrating because it completely probably changed the dynamic of the game," Beard said after the match.READ MORE: Everton supporters celebrate on Kop after beating Liverpool as warning comes true
"I’m just sick to death of it to be honest and it’s not just me is it? I think everyone says it." The Liverpool boss confirmed he had spoken with the officials after the game, though admitted their promise to review the situation would yield little reward for his side. "You’ve got foul throws being taken in front of us live on Sky Sports. You’ve got the fourth official telling the referee it’s a foul throw and it’s not being acted upon. I just think it’s embarrassing really."
