Billy Hogan believes the timing of Jurgen Klopp 's decision to confirm his Liverpool departure was integral to allowing owners Fenway Sports Group the time and space to properly restructure the club this year. And the club's CEO is also adamant the appointments of head coach Arne Slot , sporting director Richard Hughes and the return of Michael Edwards , as the day-to-day head of the operation, will set an exciting new era up to thrive in the coming years.
Such deals are integral to the operation at Liverpool FC , who are run with a strictly self-sustainable policy by owners FSG and while that model is sometime criticised by supporters desperate for further investment in the transfer market, it is understood the club were nowhere near being part of the recent Profit and Sustainability Rules that have impacted over a quarter of the Premier League in Chelsea, Newcastle United, Leicester City, Everton , Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa.
