Liverpool supporters who voted in the ECHO's international break survey have made it clear who should be at the top of FSG's contract priority list
The futures of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold remain unresolved. But Liverpool have been sent a clear message about which contract talks should be a priority. More than 4,000 Liverpool ECHO readers responded to our recent survey of Liverpool's transfer window and the challenges that lie ahead at Anfield . The Reds business drew a mixed reaction from fans: the majority, 53.
In terms of targets, fans were firm about where reinforcements should be made: 45% want a stronger defence; 39% want a new midfielder after watching a move for Martin Zubimendi fall through; 13% feel the squad is well balanced and doesn't need new signings, while a tiny 2% see a need for a new attacker. However, those answers could well change next summer should any of Salah, Van Dijk or Alexander-Arnold not sign a new deal at Anfield.
