Liverpool manager Arne Slot is hopeful that defenders Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate will be available for Sunday's Premier League match against Manchester United. Both players have been sidelined since November due to injuries.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot could include defenders Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate in his plans for Sunday's Premier League clash with Manchester United . Bradley and Konate have been sidelined since they both suffered injuries in the 2-0 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League at Anfield in November, meaning they have missed each of Liverpool 's last eight matches.

Konate had been a key fixture for the Premier League table-toppers prior to his injury, regularly partnering Virgil van Dijk in the heart of the Liverpool defence. Bradley, meanwhile, had made 12 appearances of his own. The duo are poised to train with the rest of the first-team squad on Friday and Slot will then make a decision on their availability for United's visit to Anfield. However, the Merseysiders will have to make do without Joe Gomez after he suffered a hamstring injury in last Sunday's 5-0 win at West Ham United. 'Joe is, of course, not in a good place when it comes to his injury,' said Slot, speaking to the media on Friday morning. 'He is out for a few weeks, that's for sure. 'Conor and Ibou will train with us today for the first time. So, curious and interested to see where they exactly are, of course. 'They have worked hard to come back to the team but the next step is always, 'How do you handle team sessions?' They will train with us today, the two of them.' Slot also confirmed that he has no other concerns ahead of the clash with Ruben Amorim's team. He added: 'Of course they still have to come in but we trained yesterday and I assume everybody is fit, although we are in a period of time where some people get sick as well. But I have heard nothing about that yet. 'So, hopefully everybody is ready – except for Joe Gomez – to be part of the game on Sunday.
