With the 31st anniversary event approaching on March 23rd, the Liverpool Half Marathon is urging prospective runners to secure their place soon. The race, known for its popularity and pre-marathon timing, offers a chance for runners to test their progress or challenge themselves over the longer distance. The 10 mile race is already sold out, and only 2,000 spots remain for the half marathon.
An email was sent to runners across Merseyside ahead of a popular race event in the city. Liverpool’s half marathon returns once again this year, with runners gearing up in the hopes of logging a personal best time. The event is incredibly popular with runners, and with its timing before the London and Manchester marathons , many are able to use it as a chance to test their progress.
This year marks the 31st anniversary of what was originally known as the Liverpool International Half Marathon in 1994. With the city now a firm visitor destination with people from across the world, the event attracts runners from far and wide. In 2024, the event was sold out almost a month before the big day and event organisers, BTR, expect no different this year. If you have already signed up, you will receive your race pack around two weeks before the race date.
