Around £5m must be raised to save the much-loved Zoe's Place hospice
Claire Sweeney has joined a city-wide campaign to try and save Zoe's Place baby hospice in Liverpool from being closed. The hugely loved centre in West Derby , provides respite, palliative and end-of-life care for babies and children up to the age of five. It has supported countless local families in their most difficult moments. Since the news broke , people from across Liverpool and beyond have been trying to raise the money that Zoe's Place needs to remain in the city.
That's the heart of the city. That's what is wonderful about Liverpool.' A GoFundMe page dedicated to saving Zoe's Place has already raised over £1.5m. Claire said: 'Liverpool has the biggest heart ever. We come together when people need help in our city. Everyone rallies around. 'I think Zoe's Place is necessary, not only for the kids, but to give parents respite as well. It's a terrible thing.
