Liverpool saw talks with Newcastle for Anthony Gordon fall through last month and could turn to other options as a result.
Liverpool are said to be mulling over a move for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa after missing out on Anthony Gordon . The Reds held talks with the Magpies regarding the former Evertonian last month but negotiations fell through. Newcastle were exploring ways to ensure they complied with Profit & Sustainability Rules deadline of June 30 and offered Gordon to the Reds in a deal that would have seen Jarell Quansah move the other way.
There have been rumours that Diaz is a target of Barcelona, although these claims are yet to be substantiated, especially with the Spanish club on the cusp of acquiring Athletic Bilbao talent Nico Wiliams. Liverpool had been linked with the Spain talent, albeit never strongly. All the while, Caught Offside claims Liverpool are keen on Juventus star Chiesa, who is expected to leave Turin with just a year left on his deal and a renewal agreement unlikely.
