Jan Molby discussed Darwin Nunez in detail as the Liverpool striker's performances continue to impress
Liverpool legend Jan Molby has placed his confidence in Darwin Nunez to lead the line, believing that the striker knows his quality and plays to those strengths.
His latest strike came against Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, and epitomised both sides of the striker. At first he misjudged his control of Trent Alexander-Arnold's pass forwards, then picked up the pieces to whip a shot perfectly over the goalkeeper and under the crossbar. "If you ask me 'is there more to come?' I don't know. I don't know if there is more to come because what you're saying is you're hoping, and I think we've seen all that. In glimpses he's shown the levels you would like him to get to but I think he's there already.
He added: "Is he a false No.9? Is he a Fernando Torres? I don't know what he is, but he is very enjoyable. We don't all have to be same, no mistakes and whatever. They describe him as a chaos footballer but I don't think he views it like that, he 100 percent knows what he's about. "Somehow if we can look beyond all of that he just feels right as a footballer. I like what he brings.
